Sankat Mochan

The word 'sankat mochan' is a hindi word comprising of two different words sankat and mochan.

Sankat means big problem or trouble.

Mochan means rescue or escape.

That makes the meaning of word sankat mochan, “the one who rescue you from a big problem” or

“the one who solves your problem”.

This word was used for Lord Hanumana specifically when He brought sanjivini booty ( herb ) for lord Lakshamana and rescued him from dying
